Alyssa: Young Alberta

Meet the team behind Young Alberta! Alyssa is our social media manager and we are so thrilled to have her join us as we launch.

Hey there! My name is Alyssa. I am a Christian, Albertan dairy farm hand who has a passion for politics and helping young people understand our current political environment. I love my husband, farming, road trips, and the beautiful Alberta landscapes.

I was born and raised in central Alberta. Growing up in an agricultural community, I understand that hard work is key to a successful life. It hasn’t taken me long to realize that Alberta’s current economy makes it difficult for young people like myself to buy homes, start families, and to become and stay financially stable.

I started wondering where I can find information about why our economy is like this and how we can change it to better ourselves and our futures. The more I looked the more I found it overwhelming to find good, truthful and unbiased information to form my opinions on how to solve our problems. 

When I first heard the idea of a neutral network of tools and information for young people, I had to get involved. I run the social media side of things for Young Alberta, and I am so excited to help provide information to young, hardworking Albertans so that they can form their opinions and understand what is going on with our province.
